Rachel McDowall
Dance Instructor & Company Choreographer
Rachel started training from a very young age, from her local Dance school, to Elliot Clarke’s, The Royal Ballet, and then carried through to graduating from a prestigious Theatre school in London, England. Rachel has been seen playing lead roles in London’s West End. She has treaded the boards as the infamous ‘Velma Kelly’ in Chicago and played Swedish blonde bombshell ‘Ulla’ in the Mel Brooks hit musical The Producers. Rachel also has a career in television & film, from numerous UK TV stints, to the big box office smash hit Mamma Mia-The Movie. She can also be seen in the UK’s first 3D movie StreetDance 3D playing the role of ‘Isabella’, and playing the lead role of Jayne in phycological thriller The Stranger.
Rachel can be caught in BET’s comedy series Zoe Ever After, and most recently the 2022 worldwide release of ‘The Shuroo Process’, available to watch on Apple TV & all other streaming platforms. Rachel has taught at some of the most prestigious dance studios all over the UK & US, and is no stranger to CDA, as she’s served as guest teacher and choreographer in the past. She is delighted to be back joining the faculty and will enjoy watching the growth of her students.
