Karley Thurmond, Assistant Clogging Director, Instructor
Karley Thurmond is a passionate and accomplished dancer with nearly two decades of experience in the world of clogging. She first discovered her love for the art at just six years old after watching a clogging performance at a local festival—and she hasn’t stopped dancing since. Karley began teaching at the age of 15 and took on the role of helping direct by 18, quickly earning a reputation for her leadership, creativity, and dedication to her students.
Over the course of her competitive career, Karley has earned multiple national titles, solidifying her place as a standout in the clogging community. In 2022, she was named a Clogging Champions of America All-Pro Legend—an honor voted on by her peers after four consecutive years of nominations. Most recently, in 2024, she was recognized as Mrs. America’s Clogging Hall of Fame, a testament to both her talent and her impact on the art form.
Karley’s passion for dance is rivaled only by her love for teaching. She is thrilled to bring her energy, experience, and enthusiasm to CDA, where she looks forward to inspiring the next generation of cloggers and sharing the joy of dance with others.
