CDA follows Forsyth County School and Dawson County School Systems lead on all inclement weather days.
Example: Unless you hear otherwise, if Forsyth County Schools are closed - CDA is closed.
Closings will also be announced via our social media outlets. An email will also be sent to the classes that are affected.
YOUR FAMILY - YOUR CHOICE
If you are uncomfortable getting out in a storm and we have not closed; please do not feel obligated to come. You make the decision that is best for your family as to whether you attend that class or not.
How does this affect the tuition I have already paid?
CDA builds in 2 additional (free) weeks of dance classes to the season each year. These are built into the schedule so that in the case of inclement weather or unexpected closings, make-up classes are not needed. CDA teaches 36 weeks per season; however, tuition only runs 34 weeks per season. This builds in the two additional (free) weeks of class that you are not paying for; thus you are not losing any tuition due to these days class is canceled.
Should your dancers class miss more than 2 weeks of class due to inclement weather or unexpected closings, a make-up class will be scheduled.
