Amber Colmey, Company Technique Instructor and Choreographer

She also began her teaching career there at the age of 15. She was accepted to Broadway Dance Center’s prestigious intern program in the fall of 2004, moved to New York City, and continued training in the city after the program’s end. She has also has had the privilege of traveling the country assisting master contemporary classes with Andrew Turtle. Not only is Amber a talented dancer, she is also a gifted teacher, having served on faculty at several studios around New York as well as for Broadway Dance Center master faculty members Michelle Barber, Pam Chancey, and Sheila Barker. Amber has also traveled the country teaching master classes of her own. Her choreography has been given top awards at many national dance competitions where her students’ performances consistently receive praise from judges. She works with dancers of every age and level and is known for inspiring her students to express themselves through their movement and embrace the uniqueness in their individual talent.
