Lydia Littlefield grew up in Forsyth County, as the daughter of a dance teacher. She was homeschooled and spent many hours in a dance studio. She started dancing at the age of 2.5 with ballet and acrobatics, then added tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and gymnastics. She danced with CDA for 10 years as a student, and has developed into a well rounded dancer. 7 years ago, she began teaching at CDA - first as an assistant teacher and then as a full instructor. Lydia loves working with both children and dance. While continuing with her dance training, she did competitive gymnastics. Because of her dance background, floor and beam quickly became her specialties and she won numerous medals at local meets as well as state and regionals. Being from a musically inclined family, she started singing very young with performances at various venues. She now sings regularly with the Worship Team at her church. Being involved in her church, has also given her opportunities to work with children of all ages, by volunteering in various children’s ministries. She enjoys all realms of the performing arts and is excited to be at CDA as a teacher.
