Meet Miss Mirna!
Mirna Minkov was born in Bosnia & Herzegovina and moved to the United States at a young age, where she received her early dance training at North Georgia Dance & Music, and later at Impact Dance of Atlanta. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Georgia, where she intensively studied contemporary and classical dance forms, as well as aerial/circus arts. While at UGA, Mirna was a multiple scholarship recipient as well as a four-year member of CORE Concert Dance Company under the direction of Bala Sarasvati. She has had the privilege of performing in works by Luis de Piedra (Danza Abierta), Joanna Mendl-Shaw (The Equus Project), and Charlotte Boye-Christensen (Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company), among others. Her choreography has won numerous awards and recognitions at various competitions in the metro Atlanta area. Mirna is so excited to share her love for dance and technique in her first season at CDA!
