Meet Miss Lauren!
Lauren Edmunds Nolan, a South Georgia native, graduated as Salutatorian of her class from Southland Academy. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She is a model, spokesperson, emcee and competition judge with experience in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Orlando and Las Vegas. Mrs. Nolan’s latest film project involved her solo performance in the nationwide Catalyst Conference promotional video as a pointe dancer. Lauren is also a co-owner of Studio To Go, a preschool dance curriculum company, that serves dance studios across the world currently spanning four continents.
Lauren has trained in dance since the age of four. Having taught throughout the state of Georgia for over a decade, she has served as a ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, creative movement, pointe, ballroom, cheerleading, stunting and tumbling instructor. Lauren is also a private choreographer for Miss America contestants. Lauren has worked in many capacities for CDA including Asst. Studio Manager, Quality Control Manager, IMPACT Performance Group Director, and as a Dance Instructor.
Lauren’s performance background includes the Moscow Ballet of Russia and Dance Alive! of Florida. She has also trained under two Radio City Rockettes. Lauren has entertained crowds for the United States Army, the Miss America Pageant, the Miss Georgia Pageant and at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. In addition, she has performed alongside Joey Fatone of N’SYNC and Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry.
Throughout her twelve years of competition in the Miss America Organization and the Miss USA Pageant, Lauren Edmunds Nolan was Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen 2006 and represented the state of Georgia in Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2007. Later, she went on to be named the 1st runner to Miss Georgia twice, both in 2008 and 2013. (She was also named the Miss Georgia 2012 3rd runner up.) In 2013 and 2014, Lauren was a top fifteen semi-finalist in Miss Georgia USA. Other awards she received during her competition years at various levels were swimsuit, interview, talent and evening gown winner, as well as Miss Congeniality.
It is a true joy for Lauren to share her passion for the arts and theatre with our next generation through movement, music, creativity, communication, expression and dance!
